Dear BCA Members,
I want to send out a huge thank you to all of the participating companies and partners (full list found at this link) that made the 2020 Henry A. Davidsen suit drive another successful event.
Despite COVID-19 and the closure of many offices just a few weeks after our launch, together we still managed to collect 10 full and heavy boxes (equating to thousands of articles of professional clothing) to help individuals transition into a professional career opportunity. All clothing collected was donated to The Wardrobe (recently rebranded from The Career Wardrobe), who recently opened a brand new space located at 413 N. 4th Street in Philadelphia!
A special thank you to Steve Kiszely, Jr. and Delaware Valley Packaging Group for not only donating and delivering the boxes for all of the collection sites and printing the signs but also for spending the day with me to visit all of the sites to collect the boxes at the end of the drive and drop them off to the charity. We spent a fun day at the beginning of August visiting BCA members’ offices to pick up the boxes while getting to know one another in an ultimate 1:1 relationship-building exercise!
Also, shoutouts to Kistler Tiffany Benefits for filling 2 full boxes, as well as Allied Mortgage for filling a box and Sales Evolution for filling a full box and continuing to collect donations after pick-ups were over which they’ve taken directly to the charity! We look forward to the next iteration of this charity effort growing even larger and being COVID free in the future!
I can’t express the gratitude I feel in my heart for all of the support that my BCA family provides each year with this charity effort. Thank you for all of your support and effort to help those working so hard to make themselves, their families, and their communities a better place. The ripple effect of one person obtaining gainful employment impacts entire neighborhoods in the end.
