We are excited to announce our Charity Spotlight for our November 16th Breakfast In The Evening, the Sisterly Love Collective. The collective was created by Ellen Yin, Sofia De Leon, Jill Weber, Chef Jen Carroll, and Avery Jannelli. A few months into a pandemic that was lasting so much longer than anyone had hoped or expected, Ellen Yin emailed several women who work in food and beverage to see if we wanted to check in with each other over Zoom. The answer was a resounding yes, and so they met on Zoom shortly after — many meeting for the first time. What began as a way to share updates and offer support to each other has evolved into a movement to lift one another up and personifies the theme of Breakfast in the Evening, The Power of Resilience.
