MEXICAN TAX – QR Code
The state of Quintana Roo in Mexico, where our airport & resort are located, has a visitor tax in the amount of approximately $14 per person that has to be paid directly to the government, it cannot be collected with your air or hotel. You can prepay this tax to the Mexican government online and it will generate a QR code for you to travel with or you can wait until you get to Mexico and pay it there.  We’ll leave it up to you if you’d rather pay it ahead of time or wait until the airport (most likely checked at the airport during your return trip home), we just want you to be aware that it exists.

Please use this official link and don’t google Mexican visitors’ tax to find the site, there are a lot of fraudulent sites out there.

TRANSFERS 
Very important for the transfers – after you obtain your luggage look for the transportation company listed (AmStar / Apple Vacations) outside the airport. You’ll walk through an Arrivals Hall that is full of uniformed people who claim that they are there to help you, but they are all timeshare sales people. All of the transportation companies are immediately outside.
