|Human Capital Consulting Partners has been retained to conduct a search for the top leadership position at a reputable family owned manufacturing company located in Lower Bucks County. This top position of Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), will report to the company’s Board of Directors.|
In this role as EVP and COO, you will be responsible for leading the company from both a strategic, P&L and day-to-day operational basis. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, overseeing multiple key functions in the business, and driving both top and bottom line growth. Working in partnership with the Board of Directors you will develop the company’s overall business strategy and establish/implement the corresponding KPI’s to improve overall business results. You will prepare the annual budgets and monthly/quarterly forecasts and manage the day-to-day operating plans in order to achieve the company’s financial objectives. Plans and manages the execution of all manufacturing projects to ensure products are manufactured to customers required standards.
The ideal EVP and COO candidate must be a strong hands-on leader who has prior experience achieving/managing a P&L, and day-to-day operations in a manufacturing company including estimating, customer relations, sales, manufacturing, finance and quality. In this role, the COO wears many hats and is comfortable concurrently handling tactical and strategic matters across all disciplines/functions/departments. This person is a highly strategic thinker, capable of quickly assessing scenarios and translating strategy into action plans.
Must have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in increasing responsibility, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar position as VP/GM/Director of Operations in a machine shop. The ideal person will be someone who has worked up through engineering with a strong background in CNC machinery/technology. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, MBA helpful. Experience in job estimating preferred. Working knowledge of ERP systems required. Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of employees and customers.
