Advanced Staging Productions on the hunt for a Controller

Due to our recent growth in both revenue and organizational complexity, Advanced Staging Productions is in search of a Controller to help us manage into the future. This new organizational position will provide financial support to the President of the Company and support a variety of company finance and accounting activities. Primary responsibility is to manage a small accounting department, prepare monthly financial statements in an accurate and timely manner, maintain proper accounting for benefit plans, equity and corporate insurance, plus manage relationships with external professional service providers. A brief list of the main duties and responsibilities is below.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee and manage accounting department activities including, but not limited to Invoicing, AR, AP, Payroll, Expenses, Banking, Reconciliation, month end and quarterly statements, etc.

Work with Management on performance, margin analysis, cost savings, and driving process improvements.

Experience in the development of project cost systems.

Prepare monthly / quarterly sales and use tax returns.  Evaluate compliance with states and other jurisdictions tax regulations.

Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and roll-forwards.

Analyze return on investment for capital expenditures and expansion. 

Manage banking relations.

Active role in risk management programs with insurance broker.

Monitor and coordinate services and compliance for company benefit plans.

Minimum Experience Requirements

BBA Accounting, CPA or Masters preferred.

5 plus years of experience
